There is at least one birthday or other occasion where I need a card every month of the year except July. I know this every year and yet I'm still late with cards! This birthday card is for my brother-in-law. It's late! Only a few days but still, it's late.
I need to try to remember to take the photos of my card more at an angle than head on. The cupcake here is set on Dimensionals but you can't really see that in the photo.
I tried to make it as masculine as I could. I figured a brad would be safer to add than a ribbon or bow. I didn't want to frill it up too much!
The words came from "On Your Birthday." And inside it even says something about the card being late. It's a great stamp set, it covers it all (late and on time!!!).
The decorative paper is Baja Breeze from the "Subtles Collection Patterns Stack." You get a LOT of paper in those stacks. They are a great value for the money!
I like this layout. I didn't come up with it. It is from a sample card and I thought the cupcake would work well with it and it did. I liked making this card. It was very simple to do too. The cupcake pieces are stamped and then punched out with the "Build a Cupcake" punch. What could be easier??? I LOVE it!
Now to get the card in the mail to my brother-in-law and I'm good until the middle of the month! And I was wondering, did February arrive quickly to you too?? It seems like we just put the Christmas tree away and all the decorations and now it's February! I'm SO looking forward to hanging up my fabric hearts garland. I made it a ton of years ago but still like to hang it below the chair railing. I'll take a picture of it when I get it hung up and you'll see what I mean.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
Very simple but very cute man's card. I love cupcake stamps also. They are so festive! Thanks for sharing.
