Yup, you guessed it, another card and matching notebook. It's not that I have not put this stamp set away. Honestly I did clean off my worktable and put everything away that I used yesterday!! Shocker, I know! I'm trying SO hard to keep up on the little progress that I have made in my workroom along with taking care of the new messes I make while creating and trying to continue to dig in and clean up the other old messes that have accumulated over time! It will all come together soon, just not soon enough! I need to spend a week in my workroom just seriously going through cupboards, drawers, the closet and other areas getting things all done. I do believe a week should do it. BUT.... I don't have a week to spare! So I will just have to do what I can, when I can. Did you notice my big "BUT" a few lines ago? I remember one of the old Pee Wee Herman movies where he said
to a gal named Simone who wanted to go to France, but.... And Pee Wee Herman said, "We all have big buts." I do and I'm going to work on that too!
Ok, about my card. You do remember that this blog is all about me!!! LOL
This card is a fun one. The base of the card is a 1/4 piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock. Cherry Cobbler is not a color I tend to lean towards when I'm stamping but today I thought it would be a fun one to play with.
On top of that is a half sheet of Whisper White card stock. I folded it in half and then trimmed it to 4" x 5-1/4". When it's opened it measures 8" x 5-1/4". On the front I took the open edge and folded it back to the folded edge and creased it. You can either leave the flap open or tape down. What happened to mine was I folded it crooked and ended up cutting it off, so that is another option too! Either way you do it, it looks great.
I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler decorative paper from the Pattern Stack Regals Collection. That piece measures 1-1/4" x 4-3/4".
the image was stamped on a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 2" x 3". To get your image to stamp nice and solid, after inking it up huff on it. The moisture from your breath will moisten the ink a bit more and you get a nice solid image. Providing you inked up the entire image that is. If you miss a spot, even huffing on it won't help.
The words are from the "Just Believe" set and they were stamped in Cherry Cobbler too.
The cute little button is from the new "Sweet Buttons" Sizzlet. I am having a lot of fun with it!!! I LOVE the buttons it creates. It cuts and embosses them at the same time. How great is that??? I poked a couple of holes in the button before I taped them in place in the center of the flower.
I taped this on top of a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock measuring 2-1/4" x 3-1/4". The tricky part of this card is to remember to only tape part of that Cherry Cobbler layer. I like this layout but I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have taped the whole thing. And no, that is not why I made a notebook with this layout!! This layout on the notebook does not have that center fold. It's just a single piece of Whisper White card stock with the decorative paper layer added and then the Cherry Cobbler layer.
I just figured since I had everything sitting out I might as well make a notebook. It will be great when it's time for the craft fair, I will have lots of stuff already made! And if I were smart I'd start putting the price tags on them now too and all I will have to do when it's craft fair time is haul out the boxes to the car!! I hope it works out that way! Wish me luck there!
Ok, I'm off to clean up my worktable and then a quick run to the craft store!! Gotta coupon burning a hole in my pocket!!! LOL
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
