I think this is a combination of three things here. I have the milk carton die box. The Candy Cane decorative paper and the snowflake from the Northern Frost snowflake die. But wait there's more. There's the pearl in the middle of the snowflake. PLUS the snow and snowman parts inside.
I started with the milk carton. Now I don't have a lot of the cute snowflake decorative paper left so I printed my own. I had purchased the download for the decorative papers and now I can print them out whenever I need them. I printed it out on Whisper White card stock. Before I put it together I punched the hole using the 1-1/4"' circle punch. I do regret not putting a piece of Window Sheet in side. I don't like the hole to be open. I don't think the baggies on the inside will fall out but I do think the window does look nicer with the acetate over it.
I filled the box with some fun instant snow. It's such cool stuff. You just add water and it looks like snow. Once you add the water from the carton, then you set the hat, carrot and "coal" on top so it looks like a melted snowman! It's SO cute. I should have taken a photo of one all "melted." Anyway, once I got the stuff in the box (including the instructions and choking hazard warnings), I glued the box shut and set it aside.
I next made the snowflake and glued it on top as you see in the photo. I set a pearl in the center and the box was done. It is a quick little project to make and I think I will be making some for next years craft fairs? Should I make some to sell in my web store now? I am wondering if it would sell this late in the season? Season? Snow here lasts way into March and sometimes even April! I guess a snowman is ok any time, right?
I just thought this was a fun little project to make. I'm such a snowman lover, even the poor melted ones!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
