Jolliest Time of the Year Christmas Card

Can you believe it's the middle of the month already? And Thanksgiving is next week!! WOW, is time every going fast!
Ok, onto this card. I just LOVE this "Jolliest Time of the Year" stamp set but I "just" love the snowman only! It's not that the other images aren't cute, it's just that I LOVE snowmen!! And as you can see, this is NOT a snowman on the front of this card!!! I thought I would broaden my horizons and give these other images a try. I have used them before but not like I have used the snowman one!
For my background I used glossy card stock and the "Jolly Jingles" jumbo wheel. I inked it up with VersaMark and rolled it three times across the card stock. I did ink it up every time I rolled it. Then I took Garden Green and Real Red ink and sponged in the colors. It made such a pretty background. At first I thought it was a bit too busy but once I got the card together I did like it.

I did the words on the computer. I had printed out 3 sheets of them for our Christmas cards and I just took one. I'm not sure if it will make the count short for our cards. I'll know once I start to put them together!!! I'll just print out another sheet. I want a bunch of word stamps that fit in that 1-1/4" circle punch! And if I can't find them, I just make them! Is that called being resourceful?

I colored Santa in using a blender pen and markers. I sponged the edges with Real Red ink and layered it on Real Red card stock.

When putting cards together like this, I make sure I use glue dots behind the image piece to make sure it sticks to the embossed piece. Sometimes tape runners just don't hold.

Before attaching the embossed piece to the card base I taped a piece of 5/8" white grosgrain ribbon around it and tied a bow. It was just what that part of the card needed!

It's a fun and very cheery Christmas card!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
