I have had this stamp set for a few weeks now and have not played with it. I've been so busy with so many other things that I just don't have enough time in a day to do all the things I want.
For this card I did use the Sketch Challenge layout #196. I wanted to find a layout that was just the perfect size for the flower and stems image. When I got to this layout I quit looking. There are probably others that would fit but this was the first one I ran across so I went with it.
I like how it turned out. I kept it simple and clean too. And yes, there are a bunch of layers on it but the black makes the other colors just pop so I had to use it!
The decorative paper is from the "Brights" decorative paper pack. I'm SO glad to have those packs. It's nice to have dp in every color you need. The color here is Pacific Point. Isn't it beautiful? I LOVE that color!
I tied a piece of Old Olive ribbon around the focal piece on the card and then I taped it to the black panel.
The technique used here is Direct to Rubber. This is where you just color with your markers right on the rubber. Then you huff on it. The steam of your breath moistens the ink and you get a nice clean image. I don't think I huffed enough on mine. But it's ok, I do like how it turned out.
On the upper left side I added some brads to finish off that corner. I was happy with the way the card turned out. I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for but I do like how it turned out!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
