Ok, I'm testing the waters here for this year's Christmas card. I know I want to use the new "Northern Flurry" embossing folder on my card. I LOVE those snowflakes. I don't think I want the penguin. It is from the "Tag Along" set. I taped over the "to and from" on the belly of the penguin. I really can't see myself masking that off for 130 cards. Another reason not to use the penguin. I usually (traditionally) put a snowman on my card. If it's not a stamped image one then it's a photo of a snowman that I have made. I did make two snowmen last year and I do have photos but my heart is set on the embossed snowflakes.
I kind of like the card I made a few days ago (click here to refresh your memory). I like the snowflakes. I'm not so sure about the words. I may see if I can find some different words for the front or maybe a different snowman. I'm going to have to play around with it and see what I can come up with. I have a few months to figure it out. I'll start working on the snowflakes. I think that will be the part of the card that will take the most time. The rest is just the main part of the card and the stamping! I'm going for simple this year. And I won't have to run to the post office to see if it weighs too much so I won't have to pay any extra postage! Love that!
SO please bear with me as I try to figure out my Christmas card. A few years back I was playing around with different samples and someone left a comment about all of the cards I had made and they said to just send out the ones I made while trying to figure out our Christmas card!! I did make a lot of cards that year in my quest for "the" card! I hope it doesn't take that many this year!!!
SO this is sample #2 and all I like on it is the snowflakes!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
This is very cute! I know what you mean about trying to find the perfect card, however, I just make many different ones and send them...I hate duplication anyway!
ReplyDeleteI really like the simplicity of this card. It would probably go pretty quickly if you simply removed the ink from the "To/From" with a blender pen rather than masking it. I learned that little trick at convention last year and just love it!

Very pretty card, but TBH I prefer the first one you made with the words rather than the penguin. Love the embossing folder. Jaqui x
