Is it too early for a Christmas card? After the heat and humidity we've had here a Christmas or winter card sounds a bit refreshing. I am SO ready for summer to be over. I'll take winter anytime. There is a lot less outside work to do in the winter than there is in the summer. I'm getting lazy in my old age!!! LOL
I got my pre-order for the new mini catalog last week and have not had time to play with anything. SO today I thought I would play with the two things I wanted most in my order. I am going to be using the "Northern Flurry" embossing folder for the front of our Christmas card this year. I want to make it a simple card. I usually have several layers and lots of coloring. This card has one layer and a little bit of coloring on the scarf of the snowman. Oh and the Pumpkin Pie dot for his nose. I HAVE to have snowmen cards. It's a tradition!!
The words are from the "Sincere Salutations" set. I don't know if my ink pad was too wet or if it was because I huffed on the stamp before I stamped it on the card stock. I sometimes do that, especially when the pad is a bit dry. But this time I'm not sure what happened. But it's ok, it's just a test run for this card anyway.
On the inside I stamped the snowman from the new "Jolly Bingo Bits" set. I didn't purchase the bingo image that goes with it, I just wanted these adorable images! They are just TOO cute! You get 24 of them in the set and they are all about this size. I LOVE every image in the set and I think I could make a card with each one of them! I got some of the new decorative papers so I'm going to play with those sometime this week too! There's just so much I want to play with on such limited time. This is such a busy week for me but I am sure I'll find some time to play. Especially if I keep the cards quick and simple.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
