I think I would have liked this a lot better had my card turned out the way it looked in my head. Yup, another one of those cards!!!
I did like this layout and I thought it would be fun to play with the new "King of the Grill" stamp set. Gotta play with them when I get them or they get set aside and forgotten. This is going to be a wonderful set for Father's Day and for masculine cards (for the summer). He's a cute comical guy and it was fun coloring him in. I just had problems with the background behind him. I had a piece of Bashful Blue there. I wanted a soft blue but it was a bit too dark and it didn't blend in well. SO I thought I would sponge in some Bashful Blue. I did but I don't really like it.
I also got to play with the "To the Nines" textured decorative paper. This paper is the best for masculine cards. The colors are perfect for that! Oh, it can

The image here was cut out and set on the top layer using Dimensionals. The grill tool is from a Dress it Up pack of buttons and charms left over from a Christmas pack. The colors on the image were colored in using markers and a blender pen. There really isn't much to making the card. It took a while to color it and cut the image out but it wasn't bad. I just think it's kind of blah and could use a little finesse! I made a different card using this guy and I'll post it tomorrow.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
