I had to share with you a card that Sharon made last week at Stamp Till You Cramp. She used the "Faux Snake Skin" technique.
The background of this card is the snake skin and she added the snake from the retired Stampin' Up! "Zoofari" set and the words are from the retired "Eat Cake" set. It's just such a cute card. Cute and creepy at the same time.
I was helping her with the technique and getting creeped out all at the same time. This color green reminded me of a gardener snake. Not a lethal snake just creepy. I'm not a fan of snakes (can you tell?) and I can honestly say that I have never touched one in my life and probably never will. Not high on my priority list!! I have no idea why I would ever find the need to touch one. So "probably never will" is very accurate!!! As long as they leave me alone I'll leave them alone. It's a nice arrangement that has worked out well so far!!! LOL
Click on the photo to see the color and texture up close and personal! It has such a real look to it.
She had a lot of fun making them and each one is unique. You can make them all day long and no two will ever be alike! Give that technique a try. You can find the how to here. It's fun and gross at the same time!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Oh wow that looks so realistic! Very cool. I love the green theme - fits right in with snakes.
ReplyDeleteLove the background... nice touch :-) Loved that stamp set too, sad that it is retired :-(
ReplyDeleteLove the technique but I haven't a clue who I would send a "snake" card too LOL. Thanks for the tutorial though Jaqui x
