A Note For You

While cleaning a few piles of papers up I ran across a finished oval from a previous project. I believe I used it either on some bath salts or it was some reed diffusers. I don't remember it seems so long ago that I made this. But obviously I liked it or I wouldn't have kept it.

Now what to do with it. I opened up one of my cupboards and there was this stack of paper. The paper was cut 3" x 5" and for what I don't know. Maybe it was some my sister gave me. She works in a print shop and takes home scraps and sometimes some of them trickle my way. I never refuse anything she gives me. Who knows when it would come in handy. Well today was that day. I took a some from the stack and headed over to the paper cutter and cut away. I cut a piece of chipboard for the backing and a piece of Bashful Blue for the front. The size of this notebook measures 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" not including the coil.

Materials I used to make this notebook:

Chipboard
Bashful Blue card stock
Stampin' Up! "All Holidays" set
Oval Punch
"Lots of Tags" die cut
Flower punch
Yellow Brad
Sponge
Bashful Blue ink pad
Tape
RubiCoil punch machine
White coil

I sponged the edges of the oval and the die cut frame part.

I love it when I run across pieces like this and make a notebook with it. Sometimes it takes me a while to make a notebook but when you find parts all done, especially the ones that take longer to make it makes it feel like the whole thing only took a couple of minutes to do. Actually it only took a couple of minutes to put together. And honestly I don't think the oval was too bad to make either. Though I wouldn't want to make a bunch of them. I made quite a few a while back and I've moved on!!! I don't usually like to come back to an unfinished project. I don't know why but it's such an effort to do.

Anyway, you can view more of these notebooks here. Just keep scrolling down you'll see quite a few done with the RubiCoil machine.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
