Ok, here it is. What you have been waiting weeks for!!! You can see what all is in the box by clicking here. I did not pack the box well yet. I wanted some things showing for the photo but if I can not manage to get all these in the box I will be heading to the post office on Monday to pick up the next size larger box!! But I'm pretty good when it comes to getting a lot of "things" in a small space!!
So now what you need to do to enter is to leave your comment to this post only. I will draw a name on Sunday January 3rd using the random number generator. You do need to check back to see if you are the winner. Please don't include your email address in your comments. My blog has been receiving spam lately and who knows who may get your email address. Thanks!
The question comes from the Disney movie "A Goofy Movie". While talking in his sleep Goofy asks a question. I wondered if there really is an answer to it? Here is the question he asked:
"How many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon?"
Of course you don't need the correct number/answer to enter. Just have fun with the question!
Good luck to you all and have fun,
Wanda

Oh my gosh, I'm first! Funny question. I think I know the answer. It taks 6,053,590,551.18112 cups of sugar to get to the moon. Based on the fact that it is 15,133,976,377.9528 inches to the moon and my measuring cup is 2.5" tall!! How's that for "Goofy" math?
ReplyDeleteWell, everyone says my head is in the clouds most of the time so I'm almost to the moon so I think i would take about 500 cups of sugar to get me to the moon. lol
ReplyDeleteThat question is too funny.
lol I'm not even going to guess...just here to wish you a Happy New Year, Wanda! Thanks for a fun way to start off the year! :)
ReplyDeletehugs,
Elaine
wow, difficult question.
ReplyDeletebut i think we don't any cup of sugar, just a spoonful to enjoy an feel like on the moon :)
That depends on who's driving the space shuttle ... lol. The blog candy looks wonderful! I hope the number generator likes small numbers. :D
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Snoopy :D
about a million...
ReplyDeleteI would love to win, thanks for the chance! As for the sugar...my 'guess' is it takes too much suger to get to the moon!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need any sugar to get to the moon.......maybe just a little Sweet and Low! Happy New Year and thanks for the chance for some Blog Candy.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you can stack up enough sugar to get to the moon..instead it blows away and becomes angels kisses and pixie dust! Thanks for the chance to win some great candy.
ReplyDeleteSince it only takes my kids eating one candy bar with sugar to make me crazy enough to want to send them to the moon for awhile, I will guess one Hershey bar worth of sugar.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Cristy
Hi Wanda and Happy New Year! How many cups of sugar to get to the moon? Enough to fill the big dipper!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win your awesome prize.
Thanks for the chance but not sure that is all gonna fit..lol.Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteI'd guess the sugar would be for whoever is flying there-like the astronauts since they're going to need sugar to make it though all the traveling but I'm not sure how much.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the mad-hatter had it right 10/6.
Good question . . . no answer, but a good question! What a wonderful box of goodies! Happy New Year to you, Wanda! Hope it's one of your best!
ReplyDeleteAlthough Goofy is my favorite Disney character, I don't know how many cups of sugar it takes to get to the moon. Have a great new year.
ReplyDeleteAnd Max said "3 1/2 cups". You have been such an inspiration the past year. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda, first of all, Happy New Year!!! And thanx for all the inspiration. I check your blog daily, I love it. As for the sugar... hmmm... My grandkids just have a small bit of candy or ice-cream and they are bouncing around like they are on the moon, so I suppose it wouldn't take much!! Thanx for the chance to win some sweet candy. Have a sparkling evening!!
ReplyDeletePamela ;p
Oh my gosh!!!! Our family has watched the Goofy movie so many times. We love it!!!! My boys always say Hi Dad soup when their dad comes home from work. Our guess on how many cups of sugar it takes to get to the moon is......33,251.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win your blog candy.
Mikesgal
If the sugar were used as fuel it certainly wouldn't take much. A candy bar gets me flying so I'd say about 10 cups! :o) Fun and silly question and great blog candy!
ReplyDeleteLindaLouWho
Yay for blog candy!
ReplyDeleteI would say it takes as many cups of sugar to get TO the moon as there are ounces of cheese IN the moon. Isn't it obvious? :-)
Only one. It is so sweet that it will lift you to the moon. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Wanda and everyone else.
What a good question! I have watched that movie so many times and don't even remember that part of it. LOL, I am a choc-a-holic so it would take a ton of sugar to get me there. So my guess would be a ton!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Angel hugs
Debby
I know that my kids love sugar and it isn't too soon after that they're flying high!! Maybe one bowl of sugared cereal or one candy bar would do it! Definitely one Halloween outing!! My son eats the whole batch the same night! He doesn't sleep after that!! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIt would not even take one cup for me....it would put me out like a light to dream about the moon, lol! Love the question and all the possibilities it brings up :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
How many cups of sugar to get to the moon? I have no idea! Maybe a bzillion? Thanks for letting me enter for your candy!
ReplyDeleteI say zip all the sugar in the world isn't going to get you to the moon but I definatly would be on cloud 9 headed to the moon if I won that sweet sugary box of goodies:)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
Nettie
Answer is 3 and 1/2. Happy New Year and thank you for the chance to win a prize.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I haven't seen that movie in ages...let's see there's a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down, little girls are made of sugar and spice, it takes only 3 licks to reach the center of a tootise pop. I'm going to say gorsh, how 'bout 100 cups of sugar and some crackers since the moon is made of cheese!!! lol. That was fun. Thanks for your blog and the laughs. Happy New Year to you!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is some sweet candy and love the question. I think it would depend on how much engery you have first and how I you can jump. Then you would have to add the amount of sugar to that! LOL Thanks for a fabulous year of inspiration and can't wait for all the inspiration you have for us in 2010! Thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteGAWRSH! That is a hard question! LOL I have no idea, but I love your blog -- thanks for sharing your great creations!
ReplyDeleteDepending on how many sugar you need to dream!! (or to get hiper!!! :)) Hopefully for me, less than a cup!
ReplyDeleteHappy New year!
Jannette E.
Happy New Year Wanda! After conferring with my research department I have found that it takes only one cup of finely granulated sugar to get to the moon. My research department is never wrong so I'm certainly this information is factual! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a Goofy question...haha. I think it takes a bunch of cups of sugar to get to the moon. Hope you have a great New Year!
ReplyDeleteSince sugar and me don't get along it would take me a half cup.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start the New Year.
Thanks Wanda for your great blog!
For some reason, 3 1/2 comes to mind. My question.....How did you come up with that question! lol I Love Goofy.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to won some great stuff!! Now for the answer to your question....I just asked my son and he said he thinks 100 or 200 would do it. Love Goofy too...and will never mix him up with Pluto again after I did that with Pluto when we were in Disney 2 years ago. Lets just say Pluto was not happy that I called him Goofy....LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have NO IDEA about how much sugar it takes to get to the moon, but you've sure put together some sa-weet blog candy....anyway, I'm not much of a guesser, but just a little sugar puts me to sleep...moon, bedtime, sleep...oh, let's say 2 tablespoons. Thanks for all your tips and ideas. Love your blog.

Enough to add to the moon and make a cheesecake!!!!
ReplyDeleteEnough to make the moon into a cheesecake!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm not too late! I thought I better ask my boys about this one. My youngest said "eight billion thousand". Then he thought about it for a minute and said "I don't really know". My baby is 9 years old today so maybe he will be my good luck charm.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful blog and I really do enjoy stopping by each and every day.
Hope I'm not too late to enter!
ReplyDeleteIf I have enough sugar I get hyper so perhaps 1 'Mars' bar would get me to the moon.
From the movie it is 3 1/2 cups of sugar;)
ReplyDeleteGreat blog candy Wanda.
Happy New Year Wanda. Cute question. I've never seen the movie but am pretty sure the answer would be zero, since I kind of figure, whoever is asking the question must already be there!!Everyone have a safe and healthy New Year.
