Here is a blast from the past. And yet a fun technique to do now and then. It all depends on the image you find that will make or break this technique. I've made a lot of cards using this technique in the past and have yet to do a "break" with it. They all have turned out FABULOUS!
This technique requires you to stamp on mailing labels. When it first came out I just stamped on the regular address size ones. But I have ventured into the smaller return address labels. You can use the smaller price tag size ones too. Any labels will do. Though bigger ones will not give you that fun detached effect. And too small of a label works but it's a lot of reassembling on the card stock. But it is all in what look you are trying to achieve.
This page was done using the Stampin' Up! "Embrace Life" set. I just colored in the flowers and then removed the labels and stuck them to a piece of card stock. I layered the card stock and it gave it a wonderful look. I had trouble deciding if I should put the labels on colored card stock and layer in white or just colored and no layer or the way I is now. You know which one I went with!
It's a fun technique to do and is not difficult at all. Just stamp on the label, color it if desired and assemble it on a piece of card stock. There's not much more to it than that. I did one years ago on the address labels and I embossed the image in silver and attached it to Handsome Hunter card stock. It had such a rich look to it. Here the look is not rich but you get the idea on how to do this.
There are more technique pages in this set. This is set #3. I have three more pages to make and this set is complete. I will then be letting you all know when you can purchase them!
