Last Minute Stocking Stuffers! Weekend Project

Well, this was a very fun gift to make. Isn't it amazing how you can make a little dollar item look more expensive by just putting it in decorative packaging?

I used the Stampin' Up! Sizzix "Fancy Favor" bag. I used a piece of polka dot acetate from the "Night & Day" decorative paper pack. I think this was the first time I used this die and didn't cut off the scallop on the top!!!

I LOVE gingerbread boys (not as much as I LOVE snowmen) and I thought it would make a cute little stocking stuffer gift.

After cutting the acetate piece out I taped the side and then the bottom. I ran a piece of red card stock through the Sizzix but only cut out the scallop. I cut two of them so I could do the front and back, top and bottom. I added a little holly and berries. The kind of get lost at the bottom there and I had glued them on so I couldn't move them without ruining the card stock.

I added some paper shreds behind the gingerbread boy. I wanted him to show through the bag. Then I took the Crop-a-Dial and punched holes in the bag for the ribbon. I took a large eyed plastic needle (usually used for knitting) and threaded it with the ribbon. Doing this made it pull through all the holes at once and with ease too! I tied a bow in the front and that was it! Simple! Quick and easy too! Gotta love the quick and easy part.

Hope you're getting all of your Christmas things done! Just a few days left. I am going to go do some baking now and I think I am done other than getting the house vacuumed and dusted! It will be nice to have an evening just to hang out in the living room and enjoy the lights on the tree and maybe a Christmas movie!
