I was doing a little blog surfing and found a cute card on Carolina's Creative Pad. In fact it was SO cute I had to try to copy it. I didn't have the same elements as she used but I converted Stampin' Up! products and made it work for this card.
I used the Petals-A- Plenty for the background. The first time I ran the card stock through the Big Kick Sizzix machine I ran the whole piece of card stock through. It's so funny how you can't stamp on texture. Actually it's funner that I don't pay better attention to details like that!!! LOL
I used the "Merry Christmas" from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" Stampin' Up! set and Real Red card stock. Then I punched out a red bulb and added some pearls from the Pretties Kit. I added some ribbon around the top layer of the card and tied a separate bow. I don't like to add the ribbon and bow all in one. I never get the bows to lay right. Adding them separately allows me to work with them more and get them to lay the way I expect them to!
This is basically a simple and quick card to make. It doesn't take long if you put the card stock in the embossing folder the right way the first time!!! LOL And this was a very fun card to make too.
