Ho Ho Ho Chocolate Candy Box!

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas and there are still a lot of things I want to make and show you!!

I LOVE altering boxes and making giving the simple things a better look!

I took the Stampin' Up! "Matchbox" Sizzix die and made this cute Santa holder box. It is a lot cuter than the original box they came in. I should have taken a photo of it before it went out in the trash but I forgot. But it was a long box and each Santa was placed in a plastic form. They were each anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4" apart from each other too. Unless you have HUGE stockings it couldn't be considered a stocking stuffer.

SO I ran a piece of "Merry Moments" decorative paper through the die and for the cover I ran a piece of clear acetate through. I assembled it and found it to be too deep for the three Santas. I built up a platform for them to sit on. It worked but it sagged in the middle so I made another one out of a piece of cereal box. Then I put the first one I made on top of it. In doing this I realized that the bottom could hold three Santas as well. SO this little box holds six Santas and now it's a PERFECT stocking stuffer.

And to finish it off I took a piece of black card stock 3/8" wide and made a belly band for it. But the belly band wasn't enough I wanted to make it more of a Santa Theme so I added a piece of More Mustard card stock and made it look like a buckle. Now it was a Santa box for sure!!!

The little insert measures 3-3/8" and is scored on each end at 3/8". It fits inside the box perfectly and now it's ready for that special Christmas stocking!!!
