December is a tough month to have a birthday unless it's at the very beginning of the month! My hubby's is the day after Christmas. Tough day to have a birthday. But we buy him a separate gift and wrap it in birthday paper. We do place it under the tree and we even let him pick it up, hold it, shake it, etc. But we do NOT let him open it. We're SO mean here!!! LOL
My dear friend Gerry was here to stamp last night and she brought with her some fun stamps. And she shared too!!! The shoe stamp is by Stampendous and the little cupcake in the scalloped layered circles is from the Stampin' Up! "ABC Images" set. I added a bit of bling on the top of the cupcake. It needed something but I knew a candle would be too tall. SO I dug through one of my drawers and found the rhinestones and there was one that was the perfect size. And no, this card is not for my hubby!!! It's a girly card and I don't think he'd like it!!! LOL
This stamp was easy enough to color too. The coloring was done right from the marker except for the cupcake wrappers, I used a blender pen for those. I didn't want them too dark.
And now when I look at the card I think I should have colored the shoe in with yellow. The pink of the shoe kind of blends in with the cupcake frosting. Good thing I stamped some extra images!!!
It is a VERY fun and useful stamp to play with. Gerry is such a dear for bringing it with and sharing it with me!
Thank you SO much for stopping by,
Wanda

How fun it is to stamp and share with a friend. The card is great!
ReplyDeleteMy DH's bday is on the 16th he still complains about gifts when he was a kid and having to wait just for Christmas. (they would always bundle his Chistmas and Birthday gifts as one-that would stink for sure.) Wish you DH a happy day on the 26th from me :)
Hi Wanda:
ReplyDeleteLove your card and I love your blog, I always look forward to reading it. Have a great holiday. Marie-Paule
My hubby's BD is Dec. 22nd but I have always given him both a BD gift and Christmas gift.
ReplyDeleteI have 4 family bdays in December, its definitely a tough month to have a bday in. I love the card, you did a great job coloring it. I have the stamp but haven't used it yet!
ReplyDeleteI love your cards, Wanda! I have the show stamp and have made a total of 2 cards so far - it is just a darling card for a gal.... Thanks for sharing it with us.
