For those of you who REALLY know me you know how much I DON'T like puns!!! So for me purchasing this set was very difficult. I LOVED the adorable little critters on the stamps but the wording . . . . well . . . . . I thought I would buy the set and just mask of the words and still enjoy the set. SO I'm playing with the set today and I actually decided to leave the wording with the image. I have TONS of word stamps and I have the computer. I could have gone with something else but I didn't! Shocker, huh?? LOL This little lamb (ewe) is SO cute!!! And I believe it is one of the few in the set I haven't played with yet. The skunk is next!!!
I used the Purely Pomegranate decorative paper for the background. The stripes at the bottom is what is on the backside of this paper. Fun, huh??? And as you can see I got it a little crooked. Once your tape touches the decorative paper you are pretty much stuck with it as it lays. SO I just say, "well after all it IS a handmade card!" Plus have you ever looked REALLY close at some of those manufactured cards???? Not so perfect either, are they? And people pay LOTS of money for that imperfection!!!
The black strip on here is just a half inch piece of card stock. I added 3 white brads. I did stamp the wording separate and I used the Word Window punch to punch it out. I made sure I got close to the words on one end with the punch. Then I added a little tape to the words an attached it to a piece of copier paper. Then I put it back in the punch and punched the other end close to the words so it matched the first punch. I now had a smaller punched area. I didn't want the words to get lost in that long window and this was the easiest way to make it work.
I did punch the corners with the Ticket Corner punch before I taped them in place.
A pretty quick and easy card and not to mention that little lamb is cute!!!
I will be posting Blog Candy tomorrow to celebrate my blog reaching 400,000+ hits!!! SO fun!
Thank you SO much for stopping by,

It looks ewe so perfect Wanda!!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors!
Love it, so simple to make, I never think of the black as background!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love the little ewe! So cute on every card I've seen. I have a question, however, WHEN was Purely Pomegranate available in the Designer Series Paper? - I always wanted to have some but I didn't know it ever came out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute stamp - cute card.
