This was a VERY fun Sketch Challenge today over at SplitCoastStampers. I loved being able to use two different sheets of decorative paper on one card. It always adds some nice contrast!
For my card I used the Stampin' Up! set "In Your Dreams" from the mini catalog. It's such a fun and pretty set. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it appears in the new catalog!!!
The papers used here are Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Groovy Guava and Afternoon Tea decorative paper.
I used the corner rounder to create the large scallops. I used the Ticket Punch on the corners. I sponges the edges on the lighter color papers and I added some 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon. I LOVE playing with that wider ribbon. It's SO fun!
And finally I added some antique brads to fill in those open spaces that needed just a little something but not to much to take away from the flower.
Oh and I did stamp the flower twice and I cut out pieces and set them back on using Dimensionals. Such a fun sketch to play with. I have LOTS of other cards that fit well in that rectangle area. I think it's a sketch that I will get a lot of use out of.
If you have time head on over to SplitCoast and give the Wednesday Sketch Challenge a try!!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by,
Wanda
