Making Gifts

Last month at the Stamp Share I got to participate in the Shoe Box Swap. It was a totally enjoyable time. Anyway, in preparing for the swap I forgot my black ink pad. Now the card I had for the swap required black ink to stamp the wording on with. I found another demonstrator who was using black and parked my swap next to hers (with her permission of course!!!). It was SO sweet of her to share her ink pad. Though I think any demonstrator there that I would have asked would have done the same, it's such a nice group of ladies! And I'm SO glad to be a part of the group!

Anyway, I was shopping at Target one day and saw these notebooks. The were REALLY nice and with LOTS of pages in them. Almost like the thickness of a paperback book! SO I purchased a couple with nothing in mind to do with them at the time. After the swap I thought I would alter one for Peggy who was SO kind to share her ink pad. I used the Afternoon Tea decorative paper and taped it to the front and back of the notebook. I covered the edge with some black velvet paper I had. The letter is a die cut from the Cuddle Kids alphabet set. Not Stampin' Up!, sorry! But it's still cute. I wanted to make the notebook a bit more personal than just doing a "thank you" on it. It was pretty simple to put together. I gave it to Peggy on Sunday at our FABULOUS DIVA Day event and she just LOVED it

Altering notebooks is a lot of fun. Keep your eye out for some of those on clearance, especially at Target. They don't seem to keep items very long before they move inventory!!! They make great gifts!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by,
Wanda
