I Was Given a Challenge

Once again Sue gave us DIVA's a challenge. Sometimes I struggle with them and other times they seem to go pretty good. For this one we were to come up with something to do with the Gerber plastic baby food containers. Well, since I was on the candy kick AND I had some candies left over from the last project I thought I'd see if they'd fit in the baby food container. And lucky me, they did! SO I ran with that one!

I took a piece of copier paper, used my stylus and ran it around the top of the container. The top center is recessed so you can't just cut a piece of card stock and set it on top. Well, I suppose you could but the center wouldn't be solid. You could perhaps use two pieces for better stability. But I didn't want the top all one look so I thought I'd set a piece of decorative paper in the recess of the lid.

I cut out the form from the copier paper and traced it on top of the red paper. Now looking at the paper I used and the strawberry one would think I should have made the strawberry an apple. Inside the container is strawberry candies. I just liked the color of the paper and it's a fruit so I figured it would all go together. I had taped the decorative paper to the plastic lid using double sided tape. I added the scalloped layer and taped it in place using the double sided tape.

And don't you just LOVE that new red 5/8" wide grosgrain ribbon? That was just want the container needed to finish it off. This really didn't take long to make either. And it was actually a fun challenge. Thanks Sue for this challenge!!!

These would make great Make N Take items, Hostess Gifts, Stamp Camp Items, Customer Appreciation Gifts or Teacher Gifts.

This card was made entirely of Stampin' Up! products. To view more cards/items made entirely of Stampin' Up! products click here.

Thanks SO much for stopping by,

THANK YOU! I made the mistake of telling my daughter-in-law that I wanted one of those empty food containers to play with. I now have a ton and I didn't have a clue as what to do with them. Cute, cute, cute idea!

Wanda,
Wow! Thanks for posting that! My friend has a grandbaby, and we were both wondering out loud what we could do with all these containers she's saving!!! What a cute idea, and useful for so many occasions. Shower favors come to mind, graduation favors, birthday, you name it!
