This past Sunday I was able to attend our monthly DIVA meeting my upline (Sue) has. I need to take a moment here to tell you what a fabulous upline she is! She shares SO many ideas and techniques with us. We have swaps within our group. There's dinner and a meeting. All that usually followed by a project and a challenge to complete and bring to the next meeting. We all leave there SO inspired and ready to head out in our little business world and share it with our customers! Oh and at the meeting there is a time of sharing what you make. I refer to it as "Show N Tell!" Several of the demos bring in their cards and 3D projects. And that brings us to today's post!
Gerry is the one who thought of this idea. It fits in right along with the Spooky Pops I posted a couple of days ago. She had affixed hers to long sandwich toothpicks and said they could be used on cupcakes. They looked like a "normal" flat toothpick but just longer. I couldn't find them so I purchased these. Well, to tell you the truth I thought I had the right ones. The package did have the word "sandwich" on them!!! SO I bought them and much to my surprise when I opened them they were little toothpick fork things!!! But they will work the same, they'll just make a bigger hole in the cupcake!! Plus now I have some for the sandwiches for tonight's stampers! If I remember to use them!! My workroom is SO full of "things" lately and I need to start cleaning it up. I mean, how many samples do you really need? If I were to answer my own question I'd have to say "all of them!" In the future I will probably be doing more tutorials on my blog and use it as a place to keep all of my patterns and photos. I should look at it this way, at least I will know where everything is then!!! Imagine never having to hunt for another pattern again??? That very though almost makes me want to start cleaning now. ALMOST!!! LOL
This little pick idea from Gerry doesn't have to stop with just Halloween. There are LOTS of stamps out there that can fit in the dimensions of the punches. The punches I used were a 1", 1-1/4" and the new Scalloped one Stampin' Up! came out with this year. I LOVE the size of it. I have used it in many projects and using it along with other smaller round punches gives you such depth on your projects! Have fun with this project, it has endless possibilities.
Thank you for stopping by,
Wanda
