It's Blog Candy Time Again!

It's Blog Candy time! I have over 200 subscribers! That REALLY means a lot to me. I thank you all for subscribing. This blog candy is not open to just subscribers, anyone may enter.

How do I enter you ask??? Well, last time the "mystery item" was a lot of fun but I'm going to save a new one for later this month when my blog is over 40,000 hits. Which by the looks of the counter it won't be long. This Blog Candy will be ending and the next one will be starting!

This Blog Candy consists of Metallic Rub-ons in the Color Kit #1 (Blue, Purple, Copper, Silver (Ruby, Emerald and Gold) and the Earth Tones Kit #2 (Colonial, Nubian, Pewter, Olive, Deep Gold, Gunmetal and Brass) and a package of Antique Square Brads.

To enter you just need to give your best guess to a Brain Teaser! All comments will be entered regardless if your answer is wrong or not. Now you want to leave your answer BEFORE you see what other's have said. In the event that someone knows the answer. Once you leave your answer then check out what other's have guessed. It will keep the game fun!

Okay, here it is!!

Before Mount Everest was discovered, what was the highest mountain in the world?
I forgot to add, I will be doing the random name drawing on Monday afternoon around 3:00pm CDT!

  4. I have heard of this one...the answer is Mt. Everest...

It is just like the one that my brother and I always asked people when we were kids..."A plane containing Canadian and American passengers crashes on the border between America and Canada-where do you bury the survivors?"

    Silly...they don't bury the survivors!

  5. I am going to say Mt. Everest...my analytical husband does not agree but regardless if it was discovered or not it is still the highest mountain.

  6. The answer is "Mount Everest!" Just because it wasn't discovered doesn't mean it wasn't the tallest in the world!! Thanks for the candy offer - I have wanted to try the rub-ons for some time.

  15. even if something wasn't KNOWN to be there-it still is. Mt Everest it is-and my pilates instructor is going to climb it this year-she got close 2 years ago and the weather got real bad. She is the oldest person to climb the other 6 tallest , and this will get her in the Guiness book. She is in her 60's!

  44. Tough question. My guess is Annapurna I, it was the first 8000+ mountain to be climbed. 1950.

Exerpt from Wikipedia "Even though Everest is the highest mountain on Earth today, there have been much taller mountains in the past. During the Precambrian era, the Canadian Shield once had enormous mountains 12,000 m in height that are now eroded down into rolling hills. These enormous mountains formed by the collision of plate tectonics much like the Himalaya and the Rocky Mountains."

    Gotta love Google.

PS. I was a subscriber, but I deleted my subscription, because I find myself checking in everyday anyway!

My initial guess was Mt. Mckinley, but due to the fact that I "posted wrong" (Iam new to blogs) I have to Post again. so I know the real answer now. but if it word "discover" wasn't the key word I think Mt. Mc Kinley would be the highest peak.
