I'm still playing with the new purples, the Highland Heather (the lighter color) and Gorgeous Grape (the darker color). I found this fun "Varied Vases" card and just had to make it. I LOVED the flowers at the bottom. How clever! I never would have thought of that. You can see the original card here. I should have moved my dropped flowers image up a bit but it's okay, I still like how it looks.
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape. On top of that is a piece of Whisper White card stock that was cut 3-1/2" x 4-3/4". A 1/2" x 4-3/4" strip of Highland Heather Decorative Series Paper (DSP) was added to the left side of the Whisper White piece.
I used the Stamperatus and stamped the outline image of the vase. Then I stamped the colored part using Highland Heather and I did stamp off because the ink was a little bit too dark compared to the original card. I used a post it note to mask off part of the vase and then I stamped the flower image. I didn't want the stem to go all the way to the bottom. I then added the color to the flowers and to the bottom area of the vase. I used So Saffron ink. I stamped both of those images at one time. That's one of the nice things about using the Stamperatus.
I stamped the words that also come in the same set. I used black Memento ink and then I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.
I tied a piece of black Baker's twine around the card on the left and tied a bow. I set that panel in place using Dimensionals. And that was it. A pretty quick card to make and SO pretty!!!
